Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

. Burglaries

One burglary reported this week which happened on Rollason Road.

You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com

. Vehicle Crime

Four reports of vehicle crime this week.

A vehicle was stolen from Burnaby Road.

Three vehicles were broken into and items stolen on Nunts Lane, Butlin Road and Leeder Close. 

Two males were found tampering with a motorbike (believed to be stolen) on Everdon Road. One escaped but the other one caught and arrested,.

If you have a keyless entry vehicle, please store your keys in a faraday pouch. This will block the signal it gives out to unlock and use your vehicle. Faraday pouches can easily be bought online.

. In other News

The team have been busy this week as always.

Successful PACT meeting held this week with several attendees.

Don’t forget the next PACT ( Partners and Communities Together) Meeting on Tuesday 13th May at 7pm. It will be held at the Jaguar Sports and Social Club who have kindly allowed us to use their facilities.

Another prolific shoplifter has been identified and charged and remanded.

While on patrol, officers have seized a vehicle as the driver had no insurance. More checks done which showed other driving offences!

On another occasion, a vehicle was stopped and searched. Found inside was a large amount of Class A drugs and a baseball bat. Two persons arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. Further investigations revealed an address linked to them which was searched and more Class A found.!!
