Local patrol update

Dear Resident

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) regularly conducts patrols and hosts engagement events, to provide a visible presence, help keep people safe and pass on advice.

Here is just a small snapshot of what they’ve been up to over the past few days:

• Proactive patrols were carried out around the Marlowes/Riverside in #HemelHempstead and around retailers in #Apsley to help deter shoplifting and anti-social behaviour.

• Officers conducted patrols in #HemelHempstead in response to concerns around vehicle crime.

• PCSOs held an engagement event in St Margarets Way, #HemelHempstead, following reports of criminal damage and vehicle crime. Crime prevention advice was given out and residents were able to discuss any issues or concerns.

• Patrols were carried out in the Highfield area of #HemelHempstead, to help ensure safety around schools as pupils returned from the Easter break.

• Rural patrols have been carried out around farmland in #Markyate and #Flamstead.

• Speed checks were carried out in #Berkhamsted after concerns were raised by members of the public.

Alongside the NPT, #Dacorum is also policed by Intervention officers who respond to emergency calls, the Local Crime Unit which investigates the more serious crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse.

Warm regards

James
