3rd Day of Action re Poor and In-considerate Parking outside Hadfield Infant School - Monday 28th April

Glossop SNT - School/Community Engagement

PCSO Buller from Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team). PCSO George from Gamelsey SNT alongside Helen Thornhill from ‘Move More Glossop’ including school children, staff and some parents took part in the 3rd ‘Parking Action Day’, held outside Hadfield Infant School, at the Merseybank Road, Entrance, today Monday 28th April.

The message today from the youngsters and also displayed on the posters for drivers was  to ‘ Slow Down - Dont be a Clown ’ - 'Don't park on the Zig Zags' - Stop Look and Listen' - ‘Keep us Safe’ and ‘Turn your engine off’.

As you can see pictured below (this morning and afernoon) - the children were outside the school once again with their posters on display, showing some fantastic enthusiasm.

We all hope that these three days of action are encouraging drivers and parents think about how they act, drive and park near the school.

The team would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students who participated in and contributed to the various events. We are particularly appreciative of the creativity displayed by the children who designed exceptional posters. After careful consideration, the 4 winning posters were selected by Mr. Jon Pearce, Member of Parliament for High Peak.

Additionally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff members who played a crucial role in organizing these events, with special recognition to Mrs. Kidd and Mrs. De Vegas-Oldham for their invaluable support.

We also acknowledge the contributions of Helen Thornhill from 'Move More Glossop' and the dedicated ladies from GAST (Glossopdale Action for Sustainable Travel).

Lastly, we are grateful to the parents and residents who have supported our initiatives and took the time to complete our surveys..

Your involvement is greatly appreciated.
