Dirt Bikes in Didcot

Good Afternoon Resident

With the nicer weather we have seen an increase in off road bikes being driven on public land. Following further reports of anti-social use of dirt bikes around Didcot yesterday (27/04/2025), NHPT officers we able to detain one of the group and issued them with a section 59 warning.

A section 59 warning is issued by the police when vehicles are found to have been used in an anti-social manner, causing distress, alarm, or annoyance. If the warning is ignored, the police have the power to seize the vehicle under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002.

Please continue to report anti-social behaviour as we as a team are keen to tackle the issue and will deal robustly when we identify those involved.

The NH team will be utilising drones to monitor the areas in the coming weeks, to detect and deter offenders and reassure residents.

Kind Regards
