I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather that we are currently having.

Here is the crime update for Loughborough Central (NL62) for the period 31/03/25 to 28/04/2025.

Crime Report

What have the neighbourhood team been doing?

On 29th March, our beat team were tasked to assist Trading Standards with an enforcement, following an investigation into the sale of illegal tobacco products from a store on Church Gate Loughborough. One male has been arrested and being dealt with by Trading standards. The store has been issued with a closure order and a suspect has been charged today (28/04/25)

Our ASB patrols continue in the hot spot areas and we are including Stone Yard and Church Gate in these as we have had multiple reports of drug related ASB and loitering and criminal damage to vehicles which are being investigated. 

Unfortunately, there has been an substantial increase in shop thefts on our beat. Yesterday 27/04/25 a prolific shop lifter was arrested and spent the evening in custody and today has been charged with multiple offences which include theft from stores, robbery and breaches of his current Community Behavioural Order which was issued to him this year by the courts.

Sunday 20th May 2025 13:00 hours – 14:00 hours at Regent Retail Park we will be holding a Burglary and retail crime prevention campaign

Sunday 27th May 10:30 – 12:00 hours John Storer, Wards End, Loughborough, LE11 3HA

Thursday 5th June 2025 11:00 hours – 13:00 hours at the Loughborough Student Union
