Good afternoon residents, I wish to provide you with a brief update of our week so far.
Your Humberston & New Waltham NPT conducted a day of action on Tuesday 29th April 2025- This was a multiagency day including officers from Humberside NPT, Roads Policing Unit, Rural Task Force and Marine Section. We were also joined by officers from Lincolnshire Police from Louth Rural NPT and Lincolnshire Rural Crime Action Team for cross border collaborative working as crime has no borders. Joint operations were completed with NELC Parking team, NELC environmental WISE team and NELC ASB team were conducted in the morning tackling issues around parking, littering, dog and ASB resulting in positive enforcement around the issues.
We concluded the day with an afternoon engagement event at TAP HOUSE, CLEETHORPES BOATING LAKE where we your NPT were joined by Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue, RSPB, Blue Cross Hospital, The Canoe Cleaner and VANEL. This was well attended by the public and crime prevention advice was discussed. We were able to tackle and promote a number of wildlife and environmental related issues.
A live incident unfolded during our event in which Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue working together brought to a safe conclusion with support from PCSO MCKIE following a member of the public having an accident on a mobility scooter. PC CAVE also visited a number of locations and engaged with community groups at RPSB Tetney Marsh, Humberston Fitties, Thorpe Park Haven and Weelsby Woods to unveil the repaired Lion statues! The day concluded with ASB pro-active patrols around New Waltham BMX track with Op Yellowfin nuisance motorbikes officers to discuss future plans to tackle the issues.
This was a really positive day with a lot of public engagement, networking and high-visibility patrols resulting in numerous positive results. Thankfully the weather was really kind to all involved! If you could not make it please join us again soon for our next engagement events these are listed on our website- https://www.humberside.police.uk/area/your-area/humberside/cleethorpes/new-waltham-and-humberston/meetings-and-events/top-reported-crimes-in-this-area and please follow us on our social media page which can be found on Facebook by searching for: Humberside Police - North-East Lincolnshire. Following on from the above your Humberston & New Waltham NPT team have been working in conjunction with the Humberside Police North-East Lincolnshire Op Yellowfin nuisance motorbikes designated officer over the last few days. This has resulted in the seizure and reporting of x2 nuisance motorbikes over the past couple of nights by the officers from Op Yellowfin. Officers have increased patrols as New Waltham BMX track following reports of ASB- We have been utilising different responses including use of Police pedal cycles to patrol the area. Please continue to report any issues around the area via 101 with any details or information you have; working together we can make our communities safer and stronger.
