Good afternoon residents of Winchester South,

I have recently been made aware of a report of criminal damage to a vehicle parked in a layby on FOX LANE, STANMORE, close to the junction of WALPOLE ROAD. 

The owner of the vehicle parked their car on FOX LANE on the evening of Thursday 1st May 2025, and on returning to their vehicle the next morning, discovered it had been sprayed with a blue paint similar to aerosol spray. 

This was the only vehicle damaged in the area, and thankfully the owners were able to clean the paint off without further issue. 

Despite speaking to nearby residents and neighbours, we have been unable to determine who caused the damage or why. 

Did you see or hear anything overnight from Thursday 1st May to Friday 2nd May? Did you capture anything on CCTV?

Please can I also ask any parents to see if their children have heard any names or rumours about who was involved. Although there has not been any clear mention of juveniles, this is a line of enquiry I am keeping open.
