THREE UNCOMMON RURAL CRIMES

Unfortunately we have had some rural crimes that are not common. Due to this we have decided to update you so you can be aware and take any necessary precautions.

1) Bee Hives being vandalised - This occurs north of Wimborne overnight on the 14th May.   As you are aware bees genrally are having a hard time at the moment.  So any damage has a massive impact on the victim and of course the area near the hives.  The bees can take some time to recover.

Some mindless idiots knocked over and damaged some hives.   This was not the first occasion.    So please take care if you keep bees and report to Dorset Police any information you may have regarding the offenders.

2)  Poultry Stolen -  this occurred in the Wareham area on the 15th May.  Theft of chickens is not too uncommon. However, on this occasion they went to a lot of trouble to get access.  The chickens were valued at £200.   There have been similar attempts in the Wareham area recently.

3) Theft of Wooden Field Gates - This occurred in the Longburton area on the 17th May.   They two filed gates were 10
