Crime Alert - Vehicle interference

Dear Resident,

 

Humberside Police are investigating a report of vehicle interference from Windsor Road, Hull.

 

The incident occurred between 03:00 and 03:17 on 29/05/2025.  The offender approached the victims vehicle parked on a private driveway and tries the door handle. The vehicle was locked, and the offender made off.  No damage was caused and nothing stolen.  

Please ensure your vehicle is secure and no items are left on show or in the vehicle. 

 

If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref:  25*73273.

 

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You don’t have to leave your name and you may even receive a reward.

 

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being broken into, please read through the below advice -

  • Keep the vehicle locked at all times, and ensure you double lock it.
  • Make sure that your vehicle alarm is set.
  • Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display
  • Don't leave tools in a van over night.
  • If possible park your vehicle on a drive or as close to your home as possible.
  • When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
