Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Whilst local officers were patrolling on foot, along Cherry Orchard Road, they stopped a male in a motor vehicle using cannabis whilst in control of the motor vehicle. Following a search of the vehicle, officers found various offensive weapons as well as suspected class A drugs in the boot. The male was subsequently arrested for drug driving, drug offenses and for possession of various offensive weapons. The items were seized and now off the street.

We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
