01 - Burglary Appeal -Harrogate

A burglary has been reported to Harrogate police which occurred between 0500-0630 hours on the 30th June 2025 at a property on Kirkstone Road Harrogate. Offenders have drilled open a lock of a back door and taken a handbag. If you have any information, CCTV or ring doorbell footage that could assist with the investigation please ring 101 quoting reference number 12250108712.

Please ensure, especially with the warmer weather, that all doors and windows are kept locked or on a latch whether you are home or not. Keep any valuables out of sight including house/car keys, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets etc.

It is also advisable to check your window and door locks and if they are old or worn, have them surveyed to ensure they are up to modern security standards.

If you have motion activated CCTV/floodlights on your property, ensure they remain charged and are functioning correctly. If you do not have these, they may be a good idea as they can act as a deterrent.

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Teams are aware and have the area on their patrol plan.
