Brand new Neighbourhood Inspector joins Three Rivers Police team |
||
Dear Resident We have welcomed a brand-new Neighbourhood Inspector to the Three Rivers Police team this week. Inspector Ben Harper begins his role leading all three Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) in the district – Rickmansworth and Croxley Green, Oxhey, and Abbots Langley and Chorleywood – after moving across from his previous post as Inspector of the constabulary’s Community Safety Unit. This new appointment is a milestone in Three Rivers Police history, as for more than a decade the Detective Inspector role has also encompassed the responsibility for neighbourhood policing – but starting today, there will once again be a dedicated NPT Inspector for the first time in 12 years. “I’m really honoured to have been selected for this new role, as I know how important neighbourhood policing – and the visibility of our officers – is to residents in Three Rivers. I’m looking forward to meeting the team’s sergeants, PCs and PCSOs, as well as our professional partners, and working together to solve issues directly affecting the community,” said Ben. He added: “Our NPT already does some truly fantastic work and I’m passionate about further increasing our visibility across the Community Safety Partnership, as time and again resident feedback shows that a consistent police presence is valued and respected.” Ben brings with him almost three decades of policing experience.
