ASB Patrol Across LB&WB Ward With Council Wardens

Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Dear residents, today your local Safer Neighbourhood Team patrolled the ward with council wardens due to the concern of ASB & Drug Use, our patrols were based within the high footfall areas such as Borough High Street, Tooley Street & St Thomas Street where we engaged with rough sleepers & known drug users which were moved on and given warnings to not be in the LB&WB area. We attended a call to Weston Street regarding people using drugs & being a nuisance to the public. When we got there we saw a male who is a known drug user however, hasn't been in the area for a while. A firm verbal warning was given to not be around causing ASB or taking drugs. We also patrolled the parks, Leathermarket Gardens, Tanner Street Park & St Mary Magdelen Chruchyard which we're all clear.

We will continue to patrol hotspots around the ward which are affected by ASB & drug use.

If you have any concerns & you want to talk to us & find out more about what we are doing we have a ward panel meeting coming up on Monday 7th from 19:00-21:00 @ the Bermondsey Village Hall, feel free to attend.

Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. There are 13 different types of antisocial behaviour that we may be able to help with, including abandoned vehicles, littering or drugs paraphernalia and street drinking. A full list of what we categorise as antisocial behaviour is available on our website.

If you have witnessed or experienced antisocial behaviour, you can report it online.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org
