Local Priorities Cycle Theft Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding cycle theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Anil SHARMA has been convicted of theft of pedal cycle x2 and going equipped to steal at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on the 14th July 2025.
On the 18th April and 22nd April 2025 two victims had their bicycle stolen on Hounslow High Street. Officers from Hounslow Central Safer Neighbourhood Team reviewed the CCTV and managed to identify the suspect in the footage as being Anil SHARMA. SHARMA was arrested on the 20th May 2025 and also found in possession of bolt cutters and further arrested.
SHARMA pleaded guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on the 14th July 2025 and was sentenced to a 12 month Community order requirement, curfew with electronic monitoring for 4 months, rehabilitation activity requirement, pay compensation of £150, issued with a 5 year criminal behaviour order.
