Following multiple reports of nuisance Off-Road motorbikes and e-bikes in Sandiacre, officers have and will continue to carry out operations in the area to resolve the problem.
This weekend one bike was seized by officers as part of the operation and a Section 59 warning has been issued.
Our specially trained #TrafficCops have been patrolling on motorbikes around the area along with other plain clothed and uniformed officers.
These operations will continue and further bikes will be seized if used illegally and dangerously on public roads and places.

* A Section 59 warning, under the Police Reform Act 2002, is a formal notification given by a police officer to a driver whose vehicle use is causing alarm, distress, or annoyance to the public, or is considered careless or inconsiderate driving. If the driver repeats this behaviour within 12 months, the police can seize and remove the vehicle.
