DAMAGE & ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR ON THE ARNE RESERVE, WAREHAM

DAMAGE & ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR ON THE ARNE RESERVE

Most of us will know how beautiful and important the RSPB Reserve at Arne is.   The Reserve is nationally known following several appearances on BBC Springwatch.

So it was very frustrating for the Force to recently receive a report of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour near the edge of the Reserve.  A Deer Management High Seat had been torn down and thrown into the water.  There was litter and axe damage to trees and the remains of a small fire, ( obviously the fire presented huge risks to a large scale heath fire).  Incident Number : 55250 109395 refers.

Dorset Police welcome any reports of anti-social behaviour and in particular ‘illegal’ and reckless fires in such a delicate and combustible area.  Any sightings of unregulated fires should also be reported to the Dorset&Wilts Fire&Rescue Service.

If you have concerns then please contact the Force on ‘101’  or via email on our Force Website.
