July 2025 - Radford, Holbrook, Sherbourne and Bablake - Sergeant's Update |
||
Dear residents,
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team have been busy during the month of July by affecting arrest attempts for those causing issues in the community. The team have also worked with Warwickshire Police to arrest a male wanted for a number of offences on the West Midlands force area and Warwickshire force area. Our officers interviewed the male for a number of offences including burglary. The male has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Some hard work has gone into recovering multiple stolen vehicles around the South North West.
Please remember to ensure all of your doors and windows are secure as well as any vehicles are secure, I do appreciate persons have ways to open them without keys but this is mainly to steal them, there are the odd chances that will walk miles looking to try there look.
As always, we have been conducting patrols on our four wards. With the school summer holiday now upon us we are focusing on areas where were receive reports in relation to anti-social behaviour. This month has seen some good results for some of the ASB reports we are carrying as a team. We have managed to identify a number of youths involved in anti-social behaviour issues through targeted patrols of the locations in which they have been causing issues. By obtaining the children involved details we can look at the next available options to us to address their behaviour from visits to their parents or other intervention options.
Officers on the team conducted a number of stops on vehicles across the areas whilst out on patrols for different motoring offences among them was a Honda Jazz which officers spotted driving along. The driver kept looking at the officers, the officers ran some checks and stopped the vehicle. The driver was found to be driving with a provisional license and did not have the correct insurance. As a result, the vehicle was seized and the driver was reported for the offences.
A white VW Polo was stolen from Rosslyn Avenue. Has one appeared parked up on your road? This is a strategic tactic sometimes known as the “pinch and park” where a thief shortly after stealing a vehicle will park it up for a few days in a residential area so that it blends in. This is to see if there’s a tracker fitted. If you have any suspicions about a vehicle on your road please let us know, we will gladly check it out.
Due to concerns raised by local residents about speeding vehicles in the area, we conducted a SpeedWatch on Wall Hill Road. While there we had a report of a female being knocked off her horse by a speeding driver. Enquiries have been made and the driver has come forward. He will be appropriately dealt with.
We will continue to carry out Speedwatch campaigns at various locations around the four wards.
For those families going away during the holidays, remember to plan ahead for your journey; check for traffic updates, leave with plenty time and take regular breaks and please don’t drink-drive.
