While on patrol this evening, I came across a car left unattended with the engine running. The driver had only “popped away for a few minutes” — but that’s all it takes for a thief to strike.

 Leaving your vehicle running and unattended is not only risky — it could also void your insurance if the vehicle is stolen.

1) Always switch off your engine
2) Lock your vehicle
3) Take your keys with you — even for a quick stop
