Recent burglaries around the Abbey Road area

There have been two recent reports of burglaries that have occurred in streets around the Abbey Road (Lesness Abbey) area.

At both locations, entry was gained from the rear of the property, using rear windows to gain entry. Items taken from both locations were high value jewellery.

Please ensure that when leaving your property for any length of time, that all windows and doors are locked and secure. Please also give consideration to using timers for lighting throughout your property. Report any suspicious activity that you may observe to Police.
