For Awareness and CCTV Appeal

Bakewell Safer Neighbourhood Team have today been made aware of 2 males in the area of Burton Close Drive in Bakewell delivering leaflets offering to pay 'Top Prices' for gold, silver, jewellery and antiques.  The males have later returned asking if they have anything to sell stating that their neighbours had just sold them some items.  

If anyone has any cctv or ring doorbell footage of the males we would appreciate you letting us know.

If you have elderly relatives, please make them aware and urge them to be extra vigilant.

🚓 Always use your door chain
🚔 If you don't know who is at your door, don't open it.  Ask them to return when you have a friend, neighbour, relative with you
🚓 Don't be distracted, keep other doors and windows closed and locked
🚔 If you are suspicious, contact police immediately on 101 or 999 if an emergency
