I wanted to provide you with an update regarding burglary, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Hi,
A couple of incidents of note, which have taken place on the ward over the last week or so.
Patrols of Ferdinand Place, resulted in a 37 year old male being subjected to a stop and search. Found inside his vehicle was a large snap-bag containing 11 smallers snaps containing a white-powder. Another bag was found containing in the region of 100 green tablets. He was consequently arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences.
On 1st November, police were called to Langridge, Rhyl Street following reports of a male climbing in through a window. Based on the description obtained from a witness, this male was stopped a short distance away. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary, with further checks revealing that he was wanted for several other burglaries which took place on Haverstock Hill, South End Road, Kentish Town Road and in Westminster. He was also wanted on recall to prison and was found in possession of a knife.
Thanks for being vigilant and call it in.
Regards,
Paul
While we will continue to pursue burglars in the area, there are steps you can do to help keep your property safe. Make sure that you: Double lock your door every time you leave the house If you can, move garden furniture or bins away from windows so that thieves cannot use them to gain access. Use laminated glass or security film on ground floor and accessible windows. Use a sash stop if you have sash windows to prevent people opening them enough to climb through. If your windows open outwards, use a key operated lock – check these are locked before leaving the house. Make sure all valuables are out of sight. Keep handbags and keys away from letterboxes or cat flaps. In the evening shut the curtains and leave lights on. Set your burglar alarm Lock your shed or garage Mark, register or record your valuables.
