Proactive Policing: Tackling Vehicle Crime and Drug Supply in Rochdale

While on proactive patrol around Oldham Road in Rochdale, officers observed a vehicle acting suspiciously, and checks revealed it was using cloned plates to conceal its true identity. 

A pursuit ensued; however, due to the dangerous driving displayed, it was deemed disproportionate to continue under the circumstances. Shortly after, the vehicle collided with a wall and a bollard before being abandoned in an unsuitable location. As officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a suspected drug dealer who fled, leaving behind three burner phones and a quantity of drugs. Investigations are ongoing, and the phones will be analysed to gather vital intelligence to combat vehicle crime and drug supply in Rochdale.
