Silhill WMnow Update

Good morning everyone,
On this remembrance Sunday we hope that everyone who will be attending a service has a safe time and as a Police Force will be joining you all in this time or remembrance and reflection.  
 

Crime Update:
There has been a theft of motor vehicle from Warf Lane between the 29th and 30th of October whereby unknown offenders have taken a Blue Ford Focus from the drive by unknown means.
 

Good News:
The team have made an arrest of a prolific offender for failure to appear to Court. Due to the criminal record and nature of this offence this male will not be free until well into Springtime.
 

I am proud to say that during one of the worst times of the year for burglary we have seen one of the lowest rates in the region. This is thanks in no small part to the people that provide us information, people who call up reporting suspicious activity allowing us to respond effectively and to the steps people have taken themselves to make their home an unappealing target for criminals. It takes more than just the regular patrols carried out by officers to try and deter would be burglars and we are grateful for the support in the community we receive in trying to stamp out this type of crime.
 

Parking patrols have been conducted by the team as the schools returned to try and move on and advise those who wish to park inconsiderately of others, this is an issue regularly raised by our residents and one we try to deal with when demand allows it.
