Vehicle Crime.

Dear Residents.

We would like to inform residents and business owners that there has been an increase in van breaks-ins reported in the Derby East Area over the last few weeks. 

The incidents mainly involve work vans and vehicles containing tools or equipment. Offenders are targeting vehicles parked over night on streets , driveways, and unsecured lots. 

We urge all vehicle owners to take the following precautions.

Remove tools and valuables from vans overnight wherever possible. 

Park in well -lit areas or secure compounds.

Use additional security measures such as steering locks, alarms, and CCTV. 

Report any suspicious behaviour or vehicles immediately to police.
