Remembrance Sunday |

Hello residents hope you're all well,
Today, on Remembrance Day, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their bravery has shaped the freedoms we cherish, and their memory lives on in our communities. Here in Brixton, we stand together—united in gratitude and respect. At 11 o’clock Windrush Square, we will observe two minutes of silence to reflect on their legacy and reaffirm our commitment to peace and unity. Wherever you are at work or at home, have a moment of silence and keep those who did not come home in our thoughts.
On behalf of the Metropolitan Police, thank you for joining us in remembrance. Let us never forget.
A remembrance day parade is taking place today starting from Max Roach Park heading down towards the World War Memorial at Brixton Windrush Square and a 2 minute silence will be taking place there for those who would like to attend. We the Safer Neighbourhoods Team will be there to pay our respects and keep the public safe.
Thank you and stay safe, PCSO Alvi
