Monthly Community Update from Sgt Townill – November 2025

Good evening Blakenall and Birchills Leamore residents

I would to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your local Neighbourhood Sergeant, PS 2767 Townill. I will now be sending you monthly updates around our local policing priorities, which you can also find on the Blakenall Neighbourhood website, click here.

As we move through November, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

ASB Stephenson Square- Beechdale, Walsall.

ASB issues in the Reedswood Lane area of Walsall, WS2 8RD. Groups gathering in cars- playing loud music & littering which continues into the early hours of the mornings.

Tackling incidents of off-road bikes being used illegally in the Reedswood Park and Barracks Lane and Remington Road areas

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Amplius Homes- this is regarding the ongoing ASB in the Stephenson Road area of Beechdale, most notably a communal stairwell to flats above the parade of shops. The team have been having regular meetings with multiple partners regarding this matter and further partnership work is in the pipeline.

Walsall Council- The team have recently conducted joint patrols with the Council Community protection team- conducting joint patrols across our neighbourhood areas, including Goscote- Swannies Field and The Lea and Stepheson Ave, Beechdale.

Walsall Housing Group- Joint visits have been carried out and the team have further dates for joint patrols/estate walk throughs with the community housing officers in the Blakenall Heath and Goscote/Harden areas.

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

Cuppa with a Copper- Sainsbury’s Reedswood- Starbucks- We have now held a number of these sessions, and they have been well received. The team will be continuing these sessions- dates and times will be sent out via WM Now and via our X channel. We also publish details of upcoming meetings and events we will be attending on our neighbourhood page.
