Flood Water

 We had a wet start to the day when officers attended a report of not one but two vehicles stuck in flood water. 

 The torrential rain has put pressure on the drains and the water has risen quickly, almost fully submerging one vehicle.

 Fortunately Leicester Fire and Rescue came out and put their big pants on.

And after wading through the chest high water we can happily report no-one had been trapped.

Even though the rain has slowed today, roads are still covered in standing water


Please drive with care, driving through flood water is dangerous
 

 Even if you drive a route regularly - always expect the unexpected.
