With the frosty and colder mornings start to set in again, just a quick reminder to Stay with your vehicle while it's defrosting.

We're seeing more and more cases where opportunist thieves are targeting vehicles with the engines left running- it only takes them a few seconds to drive off.

A few simple tips to help keep your car safe While Defrosting:

Stay with your vehicle at all times

Use a scraper or de-icer instead of relying on the engine

Lock your car doors while you scrape

Keep your car keys on you at all times, never leave them in the ignition or on top of the dashboard

Consider using a steering lock

Keep all valuables inside of your car out of sight
