Theft From Motor Vehicle - Darker Nights

Greater Manchester Police has launched #DarkerNights - a campaign providing residents across the region with information to protect their homes and vehicles from burglary and theft.

Theft from vehicles is often an opportunistic crime, as thieves are usually after valuables that can be seen from outside the vehicle. Never leave your valuables in plain sight. On the 21st November we received a reports of somebody trying house and car doors in the Kenwood Avenue area of Leigh.

Officers are heading out to today to do enquiries. 

Please stay vigilant and remove expensive items from your vehicle.

Ensure doors and windows are secure. 

Alarms activated and light timers used.
