Police are investigating a burglary in your area that occurred today, Sunday 23rd November 2025 sometime between the hours 3pm and 3:30pm on Echo Hill, Sleights.

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe?

The investigation is currently in it's infancy and officers are still patrolling the area. The suspect is described as wearing a balaclava, wearing blue jeans and a grey top. They have been described as being approx. 5'6" tall.

Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?

Security Advice

Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.

Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.

Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property.
