Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator |

Hi Tyler, Thank you for getting in touch and for your interest in joining Neighbourhood Watch. It’s great to hear that you’d like to get involved in helping your community. Neighbourhood Watch is open to people of all ages, but we do have some important guidelines for children and young people under 16. We don’t carry out any direct work or one-to-one activities with anyone under 16 unless they are accompanied by a parent or carer. If you’d like to take part in local activities such as litter-picking or community events, you can absolutely join in — you’ll just need to be accompanied by a parent or carer. We also have plans to develop Heritage Watch involving young people next year if you would be interested? You also cannot be a scheme Coordinator, but if in the future you decide you’d like to become a local Coordinator anyone under 18 must have a parent or carer acting as a joint Coordinator. This means your parent or carer would work alongside you and oversee any activities you take part in. This arrangement also needs approval from me as Norwich Administrator.. We’re really pleased that you want to make a positive difference, and we’d be happy to welcome you to suitable activities with your parent or carer involved. If you or your parent/carer have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
Best wishes,
