Free Active Bystander Training

Good Afternoon,

Richmond and Wandsworth Community Safety Team are offering the opportunity to take part in free Active Bystander Training.

FREE ACTIVE BYSTANDER TRAINING IN RICHMOND AND WANDSWORTH

Have you ever witnessed an incident in the street, at work, or on public transport and wished you had known how to intervene safely?

Become an Active Bystander in your local community – it’s easier than you think.

Learn about the psychology behind the bystander effect and how we are negatively or positively influenced by the group, and we will provide you with the tools to make a difference.  Richmond and Wandsworth Council are offering FREE Bystander training to residents, community groups,  local organisations and businesses.

Sign up for the free bystander training sessions we are delivering online via Microsoft Teams:

  • Sign up for bystander training on Wednesday 21 February 2024 from 7 to 8.30pm
  • Sign up for bystander training on Thursday 23 May 2024 from 7 to 8.30pm
  • If your organisation or community group is interested in receiving bystander training, please email Abi Jonas, Richmond VAWG Community Safety Officer, at abi.jonas@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk or Kira Evans, Wandsworth VAWG Community Safety Officer at Kira.Evans@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk. You can also find all of the details on the Richmond VAWG page and Wandsworth VAWG page on the Councils’ websites.

Please share this with your networks.

    Thank you.
