Dear Resident

We have had a number of complaints over the last few weeks  of abandoned  cars on Fairfield street, Hartley Ave and Richmon Road .

This has been an ongoing problem which has impacted the local community.

On response to the complaints from the local community, was to organise a day of action which was conducted earlier this afternoon.

Hyndburn Police joined forces with the Environmental department at Hyndburn Council in support from the local elected members.

Six cars have been seized a number of 7 day notices issued and one large wagon was removed which had been abandone on Richmond Road.

The day was very successful which will send a costly message to the people who leave these cars abandoned.
