Clare’s Law (Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme).

Sunday 30th June – England Vs Slovakia

Data from the National Centre for Domestic Violence revealed that incidents involving domestic abuse increases by 26% when England play and 38% when England lose. The data also shows that domestic abuse increases by 11% the day after England have played dependant on the result. We strongly encourage victims to report domestic abuse to the police, or seek support and advice from an outreach service. A national helpline run by Refuge is available 24/7 by phoning 0808 2000 247.

If you are worried that a partner or ex-partner poses a risk to you or has a history of domestic abuse, you can apply for information about previous history of violence or abuse a person might have under Clare’s Law (Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme). You can also apply for information about the current or ex-partner of a friend or relative if you are worried they might be at risk.
