Theft of a Bike


Police are investigating a theft of a bike which occurred overnight between Sunday 30/06/24-Monday 01/07/24  in Barton. The bike had been stolen from the victims back garden. 

The bike is a FOCUS IZALCO in RED and BLACK and has CAMPAGNOLA CARBON FIBRE AIRO wheels. 

 

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe?

  • Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the theft, or anything happening on the street before or after?

    Security Advice

     

  • Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and all property locked away safely and secure in garages or sheds.
  • Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.
  • Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property. 
  • Install some good quality working CCTV with motion sensors.
  • Unfortunately we have seen a rise in bike thefts recently, so please keep them locked away and secure where possible.
