COMMUNITY SPEED WATCH WARNING LETTERS

Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) work in partnership with Derbyshire Constabulary's Community Speed Watch team to improve road safety in the local area.

Community speed watch groups in Ticknall, Smisby, Newton Solney, Repton, Milton, Findern and Willington organise regular roadside checks throughout the month.

Drivers observed speeding receive warning letters from the police.

If a person receives more than two letters, a local officer from the Safer Neighbourhood Team will knock on the door of the motorist and speak with them directly.

Letters have been hand delivered to residents in Stenson Fields, Ticknall, Milton and Repton in recent months following the road safety observations of local speed watch groups.
