Dear Resident,

I am sorry to inform you that a car was stolen from the Todmorden Road area of Bacup. 

This happened overnight between 10pm on the 1st of July and 6am on the 2nd July 2024.

If you have CCTV or doorbell footage of any suspicious activity in the area, please can you reply to this message.

Car theft is quite rare in the Bacup area but it does pay to be aware and put measures in place:

Remember to Lock car! Always manually check your vehicle has locked before walking away.

Park in well lit areas

Block in Keyless or high value cars

Always remove valuables

Fit a steering wheel lock / pedal lock

Keep keys out of sight

Consider a tracker on a high value car and/or fit an immobiliser 

Have CCTV pointing at your car - there are many low cost options out there.
