Operation AVRO hits Tameside

Good afternoon Resident

You may have seen our officers out and about today as we carry out Operation AVRO across Tameside.

Activity so far has included:

Two early morning warrants at addresses on Broadbent Close, Stalybridge

Knife arch in operation at Ashton bus station to tackle knife crime

Visible patrols with officers and our mounted unit at Hyde Clarendon shopping centre

Traffic operations on Manchester Road, Audenshaw

We will be providing further updates throughout the day on our channels.
