North Wales Police conducted on WEDNESDAY 18th SEPTEMBER a day of action as part of OP LIBERATOR.

OP LIBERATOR was a partnership operation working with partners and local Policing teams to dismantle suspected gangs and criminals and to safeguard young and vulnerable people at the risk of criminal exploitation.

The operation was to tackle serious and organised crime locally, including County Lines, drug dealing, immigration and illegal sales of tobacco products.

British Transport Police supported the operation by conducting visible and plain clothes patrols in SHOTTON and FLINT railways.

The Motor Insurance Bureau assisted Immigration and Traffic Officers were able to recover stolen vehicle and various vehicles were reported for various traffic offences including insecure loads and routine checks and examinations of HGV's passing through the area.

Neighbour Policing Team visited individuals suspected to be vulnerable to cuckooing and offered them support and advice. Reassurance patrols were also conducted around SHOTTON and QUEENSFERRY retail premises.

Successful warrants were executed on two properties and 2 individuals were arrested on suspicion for several offences which included money, vehicle and drug offences.

Another male arrested for numerous shoplifting offences and two persons arrested on suspicious immigration offences.

Three premises in FLINT were found to be selling counterfeit vapes and cigarettes and were duly seized.

Inspector Williams has stated ‘this day of action highlights the work we do day in and day out!’ and ‘the results today are testament to effective joint working between forces and partners’.
