College Road

Bellerby Appartments

A lady resident returned to her apartment block and passed a male in the secured reception area. She walked to her nearby apartment front door unsure or unaware the male was following her. She closed her front door and turned the internal door locks. Then to her alarm she noticed her main door handle being tried. On looking through the door’s spy hole she could see it was the man she had earlier passed. She has described this male as:- white, tanned, 40 to 50, 6’, stocky with grey hair balding at the front and wearing a white T- shirt. This lady did have reason to think he did have a reason to be there, as he had gained building access by ringing up someone, she thinks, within the apartment block.

A good Neighbourhood ‘Watcher’, spotted a well built male break a downstairs front window and then climb into the property through it. This neighbour phoned 999 and the police arrived promptly and although, not still on the scene, he, the suspect, a serial burglar, was apprehended not far away still carrying a stolen wallet, ear pods and a crow bar!

Ewhurst Road
Whilst on holiday abroad, a resident received a burglary alert on his mobile phone. The resident then contacted his next door neighbour to check his property out for him. Sure enough, a downstairs window had been smashed and the front door just left open. Unfortunately, it looks as though the keys to his car, on the drive, were found by the burglar, because his car had now gone.

East Horsley

Burglary

45240106923                    17/9/2024   07:15 -  20:13
Forrest Road

Burglar(s) have smashed glass in the back door and then been able to reach through the hole in the glass and turn the key in the lock. After a search of the property jewellery and watches were found and stolen. In a strange twist to this one, the Ring door bell footage captured three males trimming their hedge and then one of them, wearing a hat and mask, ringing the door bell. This resident does have gardeners in to cut their hedges, but these were not them. The men seem to have been seen leaving in a white car.

End.
