Crime Report Sutton in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 18 September 2024


Officers from the Sutton Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

Costa at Drive Thru, Farmwell Lane, Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 1BX – Friday 20 September 2024 at 10.00am until 11.00am. 

PC Crouch and PC Bingham from your local Neighbourhoods Policing Team will be at WESTBOURNE VIEW BEAT SURGERY at WESTBOURNE VIEW, CARSIC, NG17 2HT on Sunday 22nd September at 5pm-6pm.  

Please take this opportunity to meet members of your local policing team and discuss any issues you may have regarding crime or antisocial behaviour in your neighbourhood. 


Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At 5.33am on Wednesday 18 September in Wrightson Close, Sutton in Ashfield, two males, both with their faces covered, were reported smashing the glass in a door to gain entry to a property and then an untidy search was made. We do not know at this time if anything was stolen. The offenders, one in dark clothing riding a dark pushbike, the second on a white pushbike wearing a grey hoody and grey tracksuit bottoms, rode off towards Unwin Road.

Theft of motor vehicle

Between 1.45pm and 2.00pm on Tuesday 17 September in Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a Polaris Scrambler Quad bike, with an orange bumper across the front was stolen from outside the ASDA Supermarket by two males on a moped,

At some time after 6.00pm on Tuesday 10 September in Mapplewells Crescent, Sutton in Ashfield, a bag, containing medication and a set of false teeth, left near a seat in a front garden was stolen.

Possibly on Friday 13 September in Leamington Drive, Sutton in Ashfield, a bag, containing a wallet, bank cards, spare change and an old passport, was stolen from a flat.

Around 10.30am on Saturday 14 September in the Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton in Ashfield, a purse containing bank cards, bus pass and prescriptions was stolen from a bag when the owner was shopping in Heron Frozen Foods. The offender was described as Romanian, age 30’s, medium to large build with her hair pulled back off the face.

Criminal Damage

Between 10pm on Thursday 12 and 7.00am on Friday 13 September in Farmwell Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a five foot section of a seven foot high perimeter fence to an unoccupied commercial site was prised open to gain access. No buildings were entered and nothing was stolen.

Overnight Monday 16/Tuesday 17 September in St. Andrews Street, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, doors were kicked in and stones thrown at properties resulting in multiple windows being smashed on the Gleeson Homes site. The offenders were a group of teenagers, four or five males and a female ages approximately 13/15 years old.

Between 8.56am and 9.56am on Tuesday 17 September in The Oval, Sutton in Ashfield, a white substance was sprayed on a black Mercedes car parked on a driveway.

ASB

At 7.34pm on Friday 13 September in Longden Terrace, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of at least 30 motorbikes, cars and minibuses going up and down the road setting off fireworks.
