We, your local Neighbourhood Policing team, are contacting you due to the increase in Theft From Motor Vehicles. These primarily occur in the late evening or early hours of the morning around Windsor. The offenders will target vehicles parked on the roads or driveways and steal any valuable items from inside the vehicle. We have seen that offenders will often commit these offences on bikes or on foot. Offenders have been seen to either cause damage to vehicles to gain entry, or gain entry through doors that have been left unlocked. 

Do not display your valuables in your car, even an odd coat or plastic bag left behind can tempt a thief. If you have a garage, use it. If not, always try to park in a well lit, open location. Lock all doors, close all windows and shut the sunroof every time you leave your car. Protect valuable items you take in you car by marking them with you registration number or postcode using an ultraviolet pen.
