Further to my previous communication regarding our AGM, apologies for the ‘senior moment' in relation to the year, it should read 2024 and not 2023.

As part of the AGM process, we are now looking for nominations for the High Sheriffs Shield.  

This is an award that Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association give to a person or group who have made a contribution to their community and is presented by the High Sheriff.

Last year Endmoor Community Group won this award which was presented by the High Sheriff at Endmoor Community Centre where many people including children from the local Junior School attended to make it a wonderful experience. Likewise the year before, the Gosforth community gathered together to recognise the impact that one of their villagers had contributed to the community as well.

We are looking to recognise a group or individual that has made a difference to their community and that could include something that has an impact on the environment as well.

You can nominate anyone or group with details of their work and forward it either by reply to this communication or alternatively to cumbrianwa@aol.com
