Officers from Tamworth Special Constabulary were out again on Thursday & Friday evenings using the speed laser device at various locations across the borough.

Speeding is one of the most common complaints we receive at Tamworth. The locations this week were identified from responses we received to last week's post on social media or Smart Alert (Register here: https://orlo.uk/Bkidb )

Checks were completed at Mercian Way, Brindley Drive, Lichfield Road (x2 positions) and the B5000 (x3 positions).

* 3 drivers were dealt with for excessive speeding
* Words of advice were given to a number of drivers
* One speeding driver failed to stop for officers but details of the vehicle were obtained and they will be dealt with accordingly.

The officers had logged their positions on the Waze app and received a positive response.
