New road crime team in action

Earlier today (06/10/24) officers from our new Road Crime Team stopped and seized two vehicles on Masefield Drive, Leyfields.

At around 11:50 officers stopped a blue Rover 25 when checks showed the vehicle as having no insurance, no tax and no MOT. Further checks on the 77 year old male driver from Tamworth showed that they had been driving without a licence. The vehicle was seized and the driver dealt with accordingly.

At 12:00 the driver of a red Vauxhall Astra was initially spoken to in relation to driving with tyres worn beyond the legal limit. Checks revealed that the 20 year old male driver from Tamworth was also driving without a valid full licence. The vehicle was seized and the driver dealt with accordingly.
