This afternoon PC Fox and PCSO Wills have been out conducting speed surveys.

Today we focussed on Holyhead Road, Oakengates. 

On the whole the majority of motorists adhered to the speed limits.

*Average Speed 25mph

*Highest Speed 32 mph

*3 motorists were found to be over the speed limit.

Speeding remains one of the teams priorities and forms part of the 'fatal 4' The four main causes of persons killed or seriously injured on our roads.  Speeding as well as inappropriate speed, can have a devastating impact on the safety of road users. increasing the risk of a collision and the severity of consequences.

We continue to urge motorists to ensure that they are diving at safe and legal speeds at all times and would like to thank those that continue to drive sensibly.
