**Lichfield Police are advising Ford Fiesta, Focus, Transit, Vauxhall Corsa, Jaguar and Land Rover owners that their vehicles are particularly susceptible to theft by electronic means and so please consider the use of a steering lock**

In additional please consider the following points:

To protect your vehicle from theft:

Do

1) Ensure your vehicle is secured and double check the lock has worked.

2) Park in well lit areas and consider whether there is CCTV present.

3) Consider purchasing an approved car alarm, steering lock or gear lock.

4) Consider purchasing an approved tracking device.

5) Be wary of anybody who is observing your vehicle or showing an interest - consider leaving the area safely and reporting to your local policing team.

DON'T 

1) Leave your vehicle insecure, whether at home or not.

2) Leave your vehicle in secluded areas.

3) Leave change, bags or valuables in your vehicle.

4) Leave house keys or any documentation which alludes to where you live in your vehicle.
