NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH IN COMPTON

David Sheppard and Phillip Dixon are currently the only Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators in Compton covering Wallingford Road and David has recently joined the Parish Council.   Currently, there are 27 residents on the TVP database in the following roads:

Tithe Barn Close

Churn Road

Fairfield

Gordon Crescent

Burrell Road

School Road

Lowbury Gardens

Newbury Lane

High Street

Ilsley Road

Shepherds Rise

Yew Tree Stables

Manor Crescent

Hockham Road

Downs Road

By setting up a NHW scheme it does make people aware to report anything suspicious that they see and watch their security more plus they find out what crimes are happening in their area.   The role of a Coordinator is mainly to pass on messages to the neighbours so that they are warned as to what is happening locally plus on current scams and hopefully will avoid them becoming a victim of crime.  With email now it is so easy to circulate the information and this can also be done via Messenger, WhatsApp or a closed Facebook Group as there is a link to share at the bottom of each Alert.
