Operation North Star event tomorrow in Tameside

Dear residents,

As part of Operation #NorthStar, neighbourhood officers and police staff will be in your local area tomorrow, Friday 28 November 2025 to provide crime prevention advice, giveaways and materials to help keep yourself and your property safe this festive period.  

We’ll be at the Ladysmith, Ashton-under-Lyne from 10.30am to 1.00pm, so please feel free to come and say hello, and share your concerns or feedback so we can respond effectively. Tomorrow is also Black Friday, so it's important to remain vigilant, especially when a deal seems too good to be true.

Staff and volunteers from Greater Manchester Police’s Economic Crime Unit will also be hosting pop-up fraud prevention events across the region to help keep shoppers safe from online scams and fraudulent listings. You can find them inside Nationwide, Ashton-under-Lyne between 10.00am and 1.00pm tomorrow.
