There has been a theft from motor vehicle in Foley Road Newent. It has been reported that overnight from 26/11/25 - 27/11/25 a vehicle was entered and an electric chainsaw (Husqvarna T542i XP G Cordless Top-Handle Chainsaw) was stolen.
Most homes or vehicles in the UK often have just one device protecting them against burglary and homeowners often believe they have enough protection when really they need to add more. Our burglary campaign advises installing a ‘WIDE’ combination of devices. This combination includes window locks, internal lights on timer switches, double door locks/deadbolts and external lights on a sensor. Homes with this combination of devices installed have up to 49 times more protection against burglary with entry compared to homes without any security.
We also recommend installing CCTV, digital doorbells and using forensic property marking kits to increase the opportunities of capturing evidence that link offenders to crimes.
